You may put a telescope into the hands of a blind man, and bid him look at some distant star, or on some lovely landscape. He tells you he sees nothing. His witness is true. But if the blind man goes further to assert that because he sees nothing, there is nothing to see, his assertion is untrue and his witness is worthless because he speaks beyond the range of his capacity. The agnostic affirms concerning all supernatural claims of the Christian faith that he knows not. His witness is true. But to go beyond that assertion to say that there is nothing to know is to give a worthless testimony. Such is the value of the .natural man's opinion when he declares his mind on spiritual things‑ I Corinthians 2:9‑11,14; Ephesians 4:18; Micah 4:12; Acts 17:23. Man cannot know God and live to please Him without the light of Scripture.
